Repeat prescription requests should be made in writing by one of the following methods:
- In person - tick the items required on your repeat slip and drop it in the box provided at reception. If you have mislaid your slip paper requests are available at reception.
- Email - Prescriptions.email@example.com
- By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Online - via this link here. New users are required to complete a simple registration prior to using the service.
We will not take requests for prescriptions over the telephone. All requests take 72 hours (3 working days) to process with no exceptions, it is the patients’ responsibility to ensure that they order their medication in a timely manner.
A structured, dedicated time for processing prescriptions is the safest option for staff, GPs and patients. We also anticipate that by not taking prescription requests over the telephone it will ultimately reduce the time that the telephone lines are being tied up with requests for medication, therefore allowing easier access to a receptionist for those with a clinical need.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, practice pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
